The Student Community Center provides the setting for informal gatherings and social space for Endicott College's students. Designed to evoke a warm, rustic feeling the building draws inspiration from the main halls of Austria's alpine lodges.The grand central hall has a double volume space framed with hand-made timber trusses and exposed wood decking. A central hearth provides warmth and a central focus, and the project will include a large kitchen with a full menu. A large open floor plan with mezzanine level, multiple convenience and tel/data ports allows for many different kinds of uses from small group gatherings to larger coffee-house style readings and presentations.
